Privacy Policy for Widgetly

Widgetly is architected from the ground up as a local-first Android application:

• No Account Registration: Widgetly does not require account sign-up, email registration, social logins, or cloud credentials. You can use all core widget functionality immediately after installation.
• Local Storage: All widget configuration data—such as your preferred layout styles, clock presets, color choices, transparency levels, corner radiuses, and quote selections—is stored locally on your device using Android’s standard local storage mechanisms (e.g., Room database and DataStore/SharedPreferences).
• No Cloud Sync Required: Your widget preferences are not uploaded to external servers to render widgets on your home screen.

We respect your media privacy and intentionally avoid requesting broad storage permissions:

• System Photo Picker: Widgetly utilizes Android's official, privacy-preserving Photo Picker. When you create or customize a Photo Widget, you interact directly with the Android system dialog to choose specific photos.
• No Broad Storage Permissions: Widgetly does not request broad storage or media read permissions such as READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE or READ_MEDIA_IMAGES.
• Isolated Usage: Selected photo data is accessed and processed strictly on your device for the sole purpose of rendering your chosen photo widget on your home screen. Your photos are never transmitted over the internet or shared with any third party.

Widgetly provides calendar widgets designed to keep you organized:

• Optional Calendar Access: The android.permission.READ_CALENDAR permission is completely optional.
• Purpose of Access: Calendar access is requested only if and when you actively configure an agenda widget that displays your upcoming schedule.
• On-Device Processing: If granted, calendar event titles, start times, and end times are read strictly on-device to populate the agenda view. We do not store, aggregate, export, or transmit your personal schedule to any external server.

Widgetly includes battery monitoring widgets:

• Battery Status: Widgetly listens to standard system broadcasts (such as battery percentage, charging state, and power source) provided by the Android operating system to update battery gauge widgets.
• No Location Tracking: Widgetly does not require precise or coarse location permissions (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION or ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION) for currently released functionality.
• No Bluetooth Permissions: Widgetly does not require Bluetooth permissions (BLUETOOTH_CONNECT or BLUETOOTH_SCAN) for its current implementation.

We believe in transparent software business models:

• Zero Data Selling: TRENDYOO TECH does not sell, rent, license, or monetize your personal information, photos, calendar schedules, or widget configurations to data brokers, advertisers, or third-party marketing services.
• No Cross-App Tracking: We do not deploy advertising SDKs or behavioral trackers that profile you across other applications.

• Device Retention: Widget styles and settings persist only as long as you keep the app installed or retain the specific widget.
• Removal: Removing a widget clears its active runtime display state. Uninstalling Widgetly from your Android device permanently wipes all locally stored widget configurations, custom colors, and cached preferences managed by the application.

Widgetly is a general-audience personalization utility and is not directed toward children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect updates in Android OS requirements or new widget features. Any revisions will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage users to review this page periodically.
