Safety Classification: SAFE, REVIEW, KEEP

ClearNow AI uses transparent, deterministic rules so you always understand why a file was highlighted:

SAFE Verified Extra Duplicate Copies: Byte-identical extra files where a master copy is preserved.
REVIEW Similar Photos, Screenshots & Large Videos: Items that require visual inspection. Review items are NEVER automatically deleted.
KEEP Protected Originals & Best Picks: The master duplicate copy, the Best Pick in a similar group, and unique photos are safeguarded by default.

How Cleanup Works

  1. Scan: ClearNow inspects user-permitted media on-device.
  2. Analysis: Exact duplicates, similar photo clusters, and large files are cataloged.
  3. User Review: You inspect recommendations side-by-side.
  4. User Selection: You check items for cleanup.
  5. Final Confirmation: You confirm cleanup within the app.
  6. Android System Confirmation: Native Android OS dialog requests authorization before files are moved to system trash or deleted.
  7. Rescan & Result: ClearNow measures actual observed storage change.

Your Media Stays on Your Device

ClearNow AI is designed with an uncompromising local-first architecture:

  • Local Analysis: All image hashing and feature clustering execute on your Android device.
  • No Cloud Photo Backup: Personal photos and videos are NEVER uploaded to Trendyootech Apps servers or external cloud storage.
  • Zero Media Selling: We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal photos or metadata.
  • Scoped Android Permissions: Uses READ_MEDIA_IMAGES and READ_MEDIA_VIDEO on Android 13+, and selected photo access on Android 14+. No broad MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE permission is used.
