Trendyoo Tech ("we," "our," or "us") operates the TN Scheme Finder (தமிழ்நாடு அரசு திட்ட தேடியந்திரம்) mobile application (the "App"). This page explains what information we collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information Collection and Use

What we collect and why.

We collect a limited set of information to match you with Tamil Nadu government welfare schemes you are eligible for.

Personal Data

When you sign in or complete your profile, we may collect:

Name & Email (from Google)

Used to create your account and personalise your experience.

Age & Gender

Used to determine eligibility for age-based and gender-specific schemes.

District (Tamil Nadu)

Used to surface district-level schemes and benefits.

Occupation & Annual Income

Used to match income-based welfare schemes (e.g., BPL, farmers, daily-wage workers).

Community / Caste Category

Used only to surface reservation-based schemes (SC/ST/MBC/OBC). This information is sensitive — see Section 4.

Device & Usage Data

Diagnostic & Device Info

We may collect device type, OS version, IP address, and basic diagnostic data to keep the App stable and improve performance.

Notification Token

Firebase Cloud Messaging Token

If you opt in to notifications, we store a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to send you scheme alerts. You can disable notifications anytime in Settings.

Use of Data

What we do with the data we collect.

  • Match you with Tamil Nadu government welfare schemes you may be eligible for.
  • Provide bilingual (Tamil + English) scheme details and personalised recommendations.
  • Send notifications about new schemes, eligibility alerts, and updates to schemes you have saved.
  • Maintain and improve the App, detect technical issues, and prevent abuse.
  • Communicate important changes to this Policy or to our Terms of Service.
Eligibility shown in the App is indicative. Always verify with the official Tamil Nadu government department before applying.

Data Storage and Security

Where your data lives.

Supabase with Row-Level Security

Your profile is stored in our Supabase (PostgreSQL) database with row-level security policies. Only you, when authenticated, can read or update your own records.
We do not collect:

No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, but cannot guarantee absolute security.

Sensitive Data Handling

Income and community information.

Used Only for Scheme Matching

Your annual income and caste/community category are used exclusively to match you with relevant government schemes. This data is never shared with advertisers, never sold, and never sent to any third party outside the eligibility-matching flow.

You may leave these fields blank — the App will still work, but fewer schemes will be matched to your profile.

Service Providers

Third parties we work with.

We rely on a small set of trusted providers to operate the App. They have access to your data only to perform tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Google (Sign-In & Play Services)

Authentication and Play Store distribution.

Supabase

Encrypted database, authentication, and backend functions.

Firebase Cloud Messaging

Delivery of push notifications to your device.

Tamil Nadu Open Data Portal

Public scheme data is fetched from data.tn.gov.in. We do not send any personal data to this source.

Children's Privacy

Designed for adults.

Not for users under 13

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has used the App, please contact us.

Your Rights

What you control.

  • Access — view and edit your profile data anytime in Settings → Edit Profile.
  • Delete — request full account deletion by emailing us; all rows tied to your user ID are removed.
  • Opt-out — disable notifications in Settings, or switch to guest mode (browse without sign-in).
  • Portability — request a copy of your data in JSON format by email.

Changes to This Policy

Periodic Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last Updated" date and notify you via an in-app notice for significant changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
